David Robinson writes songs that mix the everyday with the
philosophical, painting evocative pictures with his thoughtful lyrics.
Over the course of the last year David has taken his potent 12-string sound to
many of Adelaide’s live venues, honing and emphasising his own musical style.
In April 2011 he released a CD EP entitled Live at the Grace, and has spent the
latter half of the year rehearsing and recording.
Yours Truly is the name of David’s
collaboration with Ken Stewart, and Shining Light is one of eight songs recently
recorded by the duo.
Yours Truly’s first CD is expected to be released either late 2011 or early
2012.
Shining Light was overlooked by the judges in SCALA’s 2010 FOOM Song Competition
Demo Section.
